Moldavite is a tektite and is the only “extraterrestrial” gemstone, which is found only in the Moldau Valley in Czechoslovakia. While scientists differ in theories regarding Moldavite's origin, nearly all agree its formation coincides with the crash of a large meteorite approximately 14.8 million years ago in what is now the Bohemian plateau.
Moldavite is a powerful stone, and its energies can at first be intimidating for those that are not aware of its energy, and tends to bring issues to the surface to be transformed, thus making it called “stone of transformation.”
It is a stone of the heart, reaching into the deepest inner self and bringing to the surface that which one most needs to recognize, honor, integrate or release. Its resonance brings the heart into union with the mind, allowing them to work together in partnership.
Moldavite uncovers the reasons and purpose for why one is here, and eases the "homesickness" for those whose origin is not Earth.
Now comes the real question...
Do stones really have energy, or is it all make believe?
I get this question all the time. The truth is, it comes down to what you believe. If you believe these stones can change your life, they will, and if you don’t, they won’t. What it really comes down to is mindset.
Science is catching up to this idea. Michael Merzenich, a neuroscientist and Professor Emeritus at UCSF who helped pioneer the study of neuroplasticity, put it this way: “We now realize that the brain is subject to change, and this change can be substantially under our control.” Your thoughts and choices actually shape the brain you live with.
The Dalai Lama once asked whether the mind alone could change the brain. Neuroscientist Richard Davidson went looking for the answer by studying monks with years of meditation practice, and he found striking differences in their brain activity. His conclusion: “Meditation can change the function of the brain in an enduring way.” Change your thoughts, change your life.
The people we admire most train their minds as hard as their skills. Michael Jordan said it in his famous Nike ad: “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” And the idea is ancient. The Dhammapada, one of the oldest Buddhist texts, opens with this line: “All that we are is the result of what we have thought.”
