Fire agate is a variety of chalcedony, a mineral in the quartz family. It is characterized by its fiery, iridescent colors and its stunning bubble like inclusions. Fire agate is typically found in volcanic rock formations, particularly in the southwestern United States and Mexico.

Fire agate has the appearance of bubbles or inclusions inside it because of the way it forms. Fire agate forms in cracks and cavities in volcanic rock. As the chalcedony grows, it can trap mineral-rich fluids, such as silica, inside it. These fluids then solidify and become the inclusions or bubbles that you see in the stone. The inclusions can also be caused by the presence of other minerals such as goethite or hematite. The inclusions inside fire agate are responsible for the fiery, iridescent colors that the stone is known for.

Metaphysically, fire agate is said to have a grounding and stabilizing energy that helps to boost one's courage and inner strength. It is also believed to enhance creativity and to protect against negative energy. It is said to be good for meditation and to be a powerful tool for manifesting prosperity and abundance.
