Aquamarine and Amethyst Pendant

This pendant is hand fabricated in all sterling silver and features an amazing large terminated piece of aquamarine. There is a small faceted piece of amethyst to accent the front of the pendant.

This is such an amazing piece of aquamarine. It is hard to find large terminated pieces of this material, and when I saw this piece at the gem show, I knew I had to have it.

Aquamarine evokes the purity of crystalline waters, and the exhilaration and relaxation of the sea. It is calming, soothing, and cleansing, and inspires truth, trust and letting go.  In ancient legends Aquamarine was believed to be the treasure of mermaids, and was used by sailors as a talisman of good luck, fearlessness and protection.

Aquamarine embodies all things connected to the sea. It is the Water element stone and is powerful for cleansing the emotional body and opening clear communication.

Its gentle energy brings emotional patterns to the surface and assists in understanding the reason for holding onto old thoughts or patterns that are hindering one from moving forward.

This stone can help overcome the fear of speaking, and is an excellent stone for teachers and presenters of all types. Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz that the colors can range from a pale lilac to a deep purple. It is formed in gas bubbles within volcanic rocks or in the cavities of certain types of granite. The color is caused by the presence of iron and other trace elements.

Metaphysically, amethyst is said to have a calming and stabilizing energy that helps to promote balance and inner strength. It is also believed to enhance intuition and spiritual awareness, and to protect against negative energy. It is often used for meditation and is thought to have a soothing effect on the mind.

Amethyst has often been called a stone of prosperity and abundance.
